5 High School Students in Jambi Dragged by the River Flow during the Flood, One Can Still Be Saved
Kolom Media. Five teenagers, residents of Kemang Island, Merangin Regency, almost drowned on the Batang Merangin River on Thursday (12/13/2018). The incident was not far from the official residence of the Regent of Merangin.

The swift river flow caused the five to drift away. Luckily, at the time of the incident, there was a member of STKIP Bangko Mapala Mata Angin, who was doing mabim refting (rafting) at the location.
With swiftness, the rubber boat used as their training facility was immediately sent down to save the teenager.

Children here take advantage of this overflowing river water as a place to play with peers of the same age as impromptu swimming pools.
