7 People Killed Burned in East Kalimantan

Rakyat Utama. The fire engulfed the family house of Sri Rahayu (66) in Korpri Housing, Samarinda, East Kalimantan. Unfortunately, seven people were trapped inside the house and were killed by roasting.

The victims were found in two different rooms. They certainly cannot get out of the house because the only exit from the house has been surrounded by fire.

"It was raining, so the fire could quickly extinguish and not spread another revival. But, because the fire allegedly started from the front door of the house, making the victims unable to go out," said the victim's neighbor, Hardi, on Tuesday (18 / 12/2018).

The Indonesian Red Cross (PMI) officer, Dedi, said the officers had no difficulty evacuating because, when found, the victims gathered in two places inside the house.

"This victim is in one house, there are two rooms in the house, so they are joined in one house, we can see that there were two children and five adults. But they cannot be identified because until now they are still waiting for the DVI team in East Kalimantan, "said Dedi.

Meanwhile, at the scene, hundreds of local residents still filled the house of Sri Rahayu's family who had been burned down. A number of firefighters are still searching for the organs of the survivors.

Kapolsek Sungai Kunjang Kompol I Gede Suardana immediately led the case where the crime occurred. A number of witnesses and other evidence were still being examined.

"At the time of the incident, most likely they all fell asleep and when the fire got up was great, because there was no evacuation door they finally had difficulty getting out. Actually there were two doors, but because of panic and we don't know what happened inside, so they found already lifeless, two victims in the front room, five other victims in the back room and collected, "said the police chief.
