Modifying the Pickup Car Tank, 5 Men in Sulsel Hoard Subsidized BBM
Pojok Nasional. Five people were arrested while refueling at the Bojo gas station, Barru Regency, South Sulawesi. They were arrested for allegedly hoarding subsidized Premium BBM by modifying the pickup tank.
Those arrested were RH, DA, and AG - all three were suspects. In addition, there are MA and RI, who are still witnesses.
"So, based on the information of the community that we are in, finally when RH replenishes fuel at the gas station we immediately knock it down," explained Barru Police Chief AKBP Burhaman when asked for reporters' confirmation on Tuesday (12/18/2018).
Burhaman explained, to launch the action, RH modified pickup type vehicles using a reservoir with a capacity of approximately 6,000 liters.
"The capacity of the tank is modified so as not to arouse suspicion. From the hands of the perpetrators, we secure the evidence of pickup cars and dozens of fuel jerry cans," said Burhaman
Barru Police Criminal Investigator AKP Donny Dunggio explained, based on the results of the development, the subsidized fuel was planned to be brought to Polewali Mandar, Sulbar, and resold there.
This action has often been done by cooperating with one of the gas station operators by paying Rp. 150 thousand per one-time content.
"Right now we have set RH, DA as the gas station operator, and AG, which is the owner of BBM in West Sulawesi, is a suspect, while RI and MA are still limited to witnesses," explained Donny.
